| professional make up artist in Sequim, Washington. From: Mary W. 7/6/2006 1:29:40 AM Hello, My name is Mary. I may find myself moving to the Burbank area in a few months. I am 37 and have 3 children. I live in Idaho and have been a cosmetoligist in both Idaho and Washington state for the past nine years. The services I can do are haircutting, styling, color, color fixes,highlight/lowlights,flat wraps, tensed and conventional spiral perms, helicopter wrap perms,,no lye relaxers ( I have not been trained in lye relaxers yet).waxing, nails and pedicures. I use to make mix and formulate foundation to match skin tone perfectly. I stopped because I switched salons. I constantly educate myself, even if that means travel at my own expense. I have been certified in several programs. Some of my education includes 3 day training in airbrushed nail art, I am a certified Redken specialist and trainer,I flew to Mesquite Texas to learn hair extension from Adrian "The Dreamweaver." I traveled by car and ferry to train in make up by a profesional make up artist in Sequim, Washington. By no means do I feel I am above making mistakes. I am my biggest critic.Every client I do I still worry about doing my best. My education is never complete. I want people to say,"she's a great stylist." Even if it does embarrass me. When I fraduated from beauty school I dove head first into my frist job. A brand new salon, I was the only stylist during its first day opening. And I had only been out of school a week. I know you are looking for someone now. But, I would like to be considered should you have an opening later. I will be working on getting my California license very soon. By: Kate 12/6/2006 2:26:13 PMMary, worry about getting your CA Licence before going on about what all you can do and how you want to be considered for a job that won't hire you. Beverly Hills hair salons only want stylist who have a CA licence, so call them when you finally get 1. Comment on this posting. |
