I use to go to Umbertos hair salon in Beverly Hills but decided I did not like the gigantic salon thing. | hair straightened with japanese treatment From: lara 9/28/2005 Hello Lance... Six months ago I had my hair straightened using a Japanese Ion treatment (which actually left my hair quite moisturized) but I just returned from a three week holiday in Europe and the high voltage equipment left my hair totally dry and damaged! I think I need the Ion Reconstructor treatment you offer... plus a little trim to sharpen the edges of my cut & get rid of some of the dry hair. | want to come to your Los Angeles Salon From: Darlene Wolf 9/23/2005 Lance, Can you please help? It is a long story but I will be short for now. My name is Darlene Wolf, I am 43 years old, the baby of six kids. I lost my Father to cancer 2 years ago and now my Mom just found out she has Cancer. She will be operated on OCT. 8th, I promised her I would cut my hair that I have grown for over 20 years, it is only about 14 inches from my shoulder. It just never wants to grow any further. We need to go to Los Angeles to see your salon. I have the most beautiful family,there are 56 members. We are very blessed.We are not rich by any means, we seem to give more than what we have. We are middle class family that lived near San Francisco. When we sit around the conversation always seems to "I wish we can have a hairmakeover" Honestly, we are never happy with our hairs. My mom just said she would like to have her hair done after the operation. This is where you come in. If I paided for your flight to San Francisco and a room at the Marriott( my sister works there), would you please come here and make my Mom feel like a Queen and with you I would have the courage to cut my hair. I might be able toarranged to use a Salon that my girlfriend owns on Burlingame Aveneue, or at my Home. My niece is a hairstylist and could assist you ,if you wanted. In my family alone I can lined about at least 8 clients for you. I can make this a publicity matter for you, "Family Cuts hair to honour Cancer Patient,Our Mother/Nana" The most important thing is that my Mom will be ok. I would be honored to have you give us a makeover! I can forward pictures of my family. I can arrange for you to have everything you need. This is a very difficult time for my family right now, you would be like the gold at the end of the rainbow. May sound corny but true. Please come make us feel pretty. I can gaurantee that you will go away feeling great also, We have a alot of love to share and we are fun, crazy family. Please think about it and let me know. I wanted to talk to you about possibly getting my hair done, at least a cut definitely and style, maybe some more color. I want something that will enhance my face (everyone tells me I have a beautiful face, etc). So, could you let me know about what appts you will have available then? | Hair cut From: new client 9/19/2005 12:18:25 AM Of course this will be posted, but I will run into LC hair salons. I will create posts and rave EVERYWHERE so that everyone knows of my great experience and to go to this hair salon place. I think the girl who cut my hair was a 21 year old named Lucy who is vidal sasson hair salons trained. I brought in a picture of a hair cut and couldn't tell what she was doing to the back of my head but she just kept bragging about how great she was, so I figured, 'hey this salon creates alot of hype about it's skill so I should be okay.' I walked out looking great and by the way I am a feminane lesbian and am happy to look that. The back of my hair was cropped close to my head fabulously and I rushed home to show my girl friend and go out to Palms bar in West Hollywood and everyone said i looked beautifu.. My wife birthday was two days later and I wore my hair prouldly for a romantic date lol. i love my curly hair cut and your hair salon and am glad i did not look like Orpan Annie LOL. I ended up buying a Raquel Welch collection wig and I am mortified that I will have to wait a good six months before my hair grows out. My only saving grace is that I have you guys really really understanding. Comment on this posting. |

| New Los Angeles Stylist From: Blondie 9/15/2005 Hi Lance, I am new to Los Angeles and am looking for a stylist. I have always had a great relationship with the people that have worked on me. I have seen one person here but I am looking to make a change. The person uses a European color line that is not commonly used. Before I moved here, my stylist used Goldwell and I was happy with the color. It was very natural and my hair was really healthy. I am willing to go with any colorline that promotes healthy hair and color that is natural. Needless to say, I need to get my hair colored in about 3 weeks and I am very nervous about working with someone new. My one horror story is about 10 years ago in NYC a well known stylist did not listen to me about my hair and it came out a light orange color and I had to cut all my hair off and it was a real mess. My stylist from Boston (who is a great person who worked with me for 4 years) would be more than happy to talk with you about my hair as it can be difficult. I have long hair (pretty straight depending on the weather) that is a natural medium ash color. Very ash-leaning towards green. I tend to go blonde as brown and reds do not look good on me. One of the challenging aspects about my hair is that it pulls red. Even with no red in the formula it turns red. In addition, I have very sensitive skin and my hair is fine stranded but I have a lot of it. What I like to do is base color and then every other time put in highlights just around the face and it looks pretty natural. Do you think you would be able to help me?
