| Recommended hair salons From: Touch up Girl 10/25/2005 Hi. I was looking for hair salons on citysearch for Los angeles. you were recommended. , I am a brunette with a question. I have my hair colored and touched up regularly(4-5 wks)and was wondering what is the best color line for really resistant gray? It seems like within a week or so I can see the color fading? What do you suggest? Do you do color consultations? I want to keep the natural brown look. My hair is also very thick and has a stubborn wave in it. HELP?! Thanks. Comment on this posting. |
| thick naturally curly hair From: curl girl 10/15/2005 Hi, I have long, thick naturally curly brown hair. Without straightening it, it's about halfway down my back. I was growing it out to donate to the Locks of Love center (as a promise to my mom) but now I'm afraid a short cut won't be flattering for me. I'm afraid my hair will be super frizzy or too thick to pull it off. And I'm a little wary of relaxing or permanently straightening my hair because I've heard those products damage hair and the curls never come back the same...SO I was checking out your website and I really like your past work, and now I'm wondering if you would be able to cut my hair and what sort of style do you think would work best for me. I would like something that would look nice both curly and straight (for when i have the time to straighten it.) Thank you for your help. If you think you have a cute idea, I would love to make an appointment with you ASAP. I've grown tired of how long my hair is now... Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you! | hair salons for my mom. From: Cafille 10/14/2005 Normally I would never e-mail someone I found on the internet, however I have been doing some research on hairstylists in Los Angeles and was particularly impressed with what you wrote about on the site for the Lance Christopher Salon in Beverly Hills. about you really paying attention and spending time with a client to understand their best features, skin tones to come up with a style / haircut that will be the best style for them. With that said I am writing to you because I am giving a gift to my mother who wants a sort of "style" makeover (for her hair) and since she lives in a really small town she doesn't have access to the quality that a place like Los Angeles offers. My concern or rather interest was in finding someone that maybe specializes in the more mature woman or someone that feels confident working on that kind of hair. My mom is over 60 and has pretty much white hair, all the hair salons she goes to seem to do the same thing. It is a pretty color and proabably about shoulder length, however over time has had some damage and doesn't have much style. I would think that color would not be an option because she would have a hard time keeping it up (she can't really afford it) so I was thinking that a really good new style / cut could really help her style. My mother needs to some type of hair salons here but, has done so much for me raising me on her own and I have never really been able to "give back" in a monetary way so now that I am on my own I would like to spend some money on her and do something really nice for her. I want her to feel beautiful and stylish. Have you had much experience working with older clients hair (texture, etc) and what is a typical session like? Is there a consultation then the cut? Any insight you can provide is much appreciated as she is coming out to visit over the Thanksgiving holidays and I would really like to surprise her with this ! | Grahm Webb Academy Graduate for hair color From: Jerry H. 10/10/2005 1:45:33 AM Hi! I am a stylist currently working in Virginia. I am planning to move to L.A. at the end of July. I went to Graham Webb Academy and am extremely talented with color. I would like to work someplace where I can continue to challenge myself and keep improving. Would you consider interviewing me? Would you possibly be able to offer some advice or words of wisdom that could help direct my path? Thank you for your consideration! Have a great day--- Jerry H. Comment on this posting. |

| Do you know of and good Salons in Frisco From: hate, Kate 10/10/2005 I was broke and hate going to hair salons, I colored my hair myself and ended up with a color between burgundy and red, it's awful. I am 4'7" with medium length thick wavy hair that goes past my waist like lady Godiva, that is pretty indestructible, but this color is too much. I need to fix it this week as I am going to an important event out of town on Friday. do you know of any good hair salons in San Francisco? I hate,Kate. Comment on this posting. |
| Naturally curly hair girl getting Hooked up. From: Brenda 10/7/2005 I will be getting married May 15th of next year and am looking for a hair stylist who is willing to work with my naturally curly hair (everyone always tries to straighten it!). I've also had difficulty finding someone who can give me a really good hair cut. I'd like to wear my hair down, but just don't trust myself with the job. Two or three of my bridesmaids would also like to have their hair done for the event. Lance will not be available and I just want to just go to anyone. Any recommnedations out there???? Thanks so much! Brenda Comment on this posting. |
