San Antonio Texas hair extensions
From: kelly
3/1/2006

Hi Lance,
I just moved here from San Antonio, Texas and am looking at having extension put in my hair mainly to add body and maybe a little legth. I had extension put in regularly for about 2 years and have had them out for about 6 months. Really missing the longer hair and body so thinking about having them put back in. Just wondering what you typically charge and what type you use, etc. I would probably have plan on doing this regulary to maintain them so just looking for someone good but not too expensive.

Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks!!
Kelly

Dear Lance Christopher Salon: Please read this email and then post it your salon is filled already:

I discovered your opening for stylist assistant through Behindthechair.com. Based on the job posting and your salon's excellent reputation, I would like to apply for this position. I would also like to know if ther are other salons in need if your filled with a staff currently. Therefore, I am making my resume public.

For over a year now, I have trained to become certified in Cosmetology. I received my training at Smyth Career and Technology Center, Where I mastered competencies such as, all color services, haircuts, and waxing. I have over 1500 hours of classroom training in addition to six weeks of work based learning at Rich's Family Haircutters. Through my education and experience, I have learned a great deal and I am ready to make a contribution to the field of Cosmetology. I am currently licensed in the state of Virginia I am working on transferring to California.

hair highlights in the past
From: MaryLa
2/22/2006

Hi Lance,

I have had hair highlights in the past (red, brown, and blond) but went back to my natural black hair two years ago. I'd like to go light again. Right now, it is BLACK (last time was in October 2005 to even out the color as my ends had gotten too light).

I would like to go to a light brown/blond like Kelly Clarkson on her "Thankful" album cover. Don't know if that's possible or not. It's almost streaked. I have long hair (past my waist).

I'd really also like a permanent body wave for my hair but don't think I should do both at the same time or maybe not both at all. I'd really like the hair color done though because I can always curl it using rollers.

Do you have an openings this weekend? Preferably Saturday.

Thanks!

MaryLa

Hello Tim. We do alost of men's cuts to. I personally as a stylist have mostly women but my stylist who work for me are fabulous at Mens and Womens. This website currently has more of my actual personal clients, not salons due to most convience and waivers for there permission to post the photos. call 310.859.3998 and ask for a stylist who is good with mens hair. I also have a few terrific Mens hair styling books I picked up at the most Recent Los Angeles Hair show! - Best Lance.

looking for salon in Los Angeles
From: Michelle from Dublin

Hello Lance,my name is Michelle I absolutely love your blog. could you please post the following. If your dont need a new hair stylist maybe ofther hair salon owners might. I appreciate it so much!!!!!!!,i have been living and working in los angeles for the last 10 years,i am originally from Dublin,Ireland.

I have my license, and i have been doing hair on and off for the last five years in L.A.,but the one thing i have done consistently for the last 2 1/2 years is attend Mogis school of Haircutting @ Hiroshis salon in beverly hills,i have also done the hairshow with both Mogi and Hiroshi's teams.

I did not build up much of a clientelle because i spent the last year working in the salon at the Marriott hotel and in can't tell you how much invaluble experince i got their working with an international client base,as i was the only stylist i was responsible for all styles, cuts and color for men and women,my starting price was $65.00 for a womens haircut.

I realise that you want to train someone in the ways of your style and your salons style and i know that i want to be around creative
people and learn as much as i possibly can.

Lance i want to tell you this now so that i don't waste your time,my hours of availibility are limited as i have 2 children and i live in santa monica,i could work from Tuesday to Friday from 10 till 3.30 and from Saturday 10 til 6pm, i know these hours are hardly suitable for a stylist but i was interested in your salon and i did not want to waste your time, thank you so much.Michelle
